Travel out to Poland by rail to join the Wolsztyn Experience for an unforgettable 4-day steam-hauled trip. Cover the North West corner of Poland, travelling around Szczecin and returning via Kostrzyn. Travel along the Ostbahn to Gorzow Wielkopolska and the Miedzyrzecz Parade, after which there will be a parallel running on the Berlin Main Line with another train from the Parade.

Itinerary

Day 1 – To Berlin

Leave London St Pancras on a morning Eurostar and travel via Brussels and Cologne to Berlin. Arrive late evening for a 1-night stay at the InterCity Hotel which is located right next to the railway station.

Day 2 – Arrive Wolsztyn

Travel by regional trains from Berlin to Wolsztyn. Once in Wolsztyn you are guests of the Wolsztyn Experience, who will be running the trains, and your accommodation for tonight will be the Ostroja Hotel, a spa hotel with an indoor pool.

Day 3 – Steam Day 1

Today you begin your Wolsztyn Experience, beginning with a one-way journey from Wolsztyn - Poznan - Szczecin - Trzebiez - Szczecin Niebuszewo. You will be based in Szczecin for the next 3 nights, at a hotel to be confirmed. Details of footplate rides, at additional cost, and photo opportunities during the Wolsztyn Experience will be available nearer the time.

Day 4 – Steam Day 2

Today’s steam train route will be Szczecin - Goleniow - Miedzyzdroje - Swinoujscie - Kamien Pomorskie - Szczecin.

Day 5 – Steam Day 3

Another full day of steam beginning in Szczecin Gl - Szczecin Port Centralny - Stargard - Choszczno - Bialogard - Kolobrzeg - Ustronie Morskie - Gryfice - Szczecin.

Day 6 – More Steam and a Parallel Run

Your route today will be Szczecin - Kostrzyn - Gorzow Wkp - Miedzyrzecz - Wierzbro - Skwierzyna - Zbaszynek - Wolsztyn. Today’s excursion will include the parallel running on the Berlin Main Line. On arrival in Wolsztyn you will be transferred for a second, overnight stay at the Ostroja Hotel.

Day 7 – To Cologne

Transfer to Zbaszynek for rail travel to Cologne via Berlin. Arrive early evening for a 1-night stay at the Ibis Köln am Dom which is situated in the railway station.

Day 8 – Return Home

Take a morning train from Cologne to Brussels to connect with the lunchtime Eurostar back to London.
