The Full Railway Package
Make your way to the seaside resort of Llandudno where you will spend 1 night. There are many things to see and do including the Great Orme Tramway and the Pier. The following day travel along the Conwy Valley Line by rail to Blaenau Ffestiniog where you will connect with the Ffestiniog Railway to Porthmadog. The next day enjoy a trip on the Welsh Highland Railway - travel the full length of the line from Porthmadog to Caernarfon return.

Steam in the Sheds (2nd & 3rd July) - Over a hundred very small engines will be on display and working in the Engine Sheds. Some are so tiny they can almost fit in to your hand. Many of them will be working to show the power and magic of steam, whatever the size. There's also a chance to ride behind a small steam engine on the miniature railway during the weekend. PLEASE NOTE THAT THE FOOTPLATE RIDE WILL NOT BE POSSIBLE ON THESE DATES.
Cob 200 (17th September) - The Great Embankment which allowed Porthmadog to be built was completed 200 years ago this weekend. Come and join the celebrations.
Cambrian Steam Mini Break
Enjoy a 2-night break in the town of Porthmadog. Travel aboard 'The Cambrian' Steam Train from Porthmadog to Pwllheli return. There will be time for lunch in Pwllheli and a visit to the open-air market (Wednesdays only). This is a day for all the family to relax and discover the beautiful Cambrian Coast.

Snowdon & Llanberis Lake Mini Break
Enjoy a 3-night break in the village of Llanberis. On day 2 ride the Snowdon Mountain Railway to the Summit and return with an afternoon guided tour of Electric Mountain. Enjoy a full day at leisure in Padarn Country Park with a trip on the Llanberis Lake Railway and the option to visit the Quarry Hospital and the Slate Museum located within the park. This is an enjoyable and relaxing day out with the family.

Llanberis Lake Railway 40th Anniversary Gala (2nd & 3rd July)
The Gala will include Maid Marian (from Bala), Helen Kathryn (from South Tynedale) and Chaloner (Leighton Buzzard) lined up as visiting engines, plus various displays including vintage cars in the car park, miniature railway etc.
They will be operating a maximum frequency train service with departures every 25 mins, and different combinations of solo and double-headed trains throughout the day.

Llangollen Mini Break
Enjoy a 2-night break in the vibrant market town of Llangollen. Experience for yourself the pleasure of a horse drawn boat trip on the beautiful Llangollen Canal, as the horses easily pull your boat through the water. Also included is a return trip on the 7 1/2-mile Llangollen Railway, which follows the River Dee to the village of Carrog. Complete your stay with a 2-hour cruise across the famous Pontcysyllte Aqueduct, now a World Heritage Site.

Talyllyn Railway Mini Break
Enjoy a 2-night break in the coastal town of Tywyn. Travel on the historic narrow-gauge steam railway, set in the beautiful Mid-Wales countryside. Running from Tywyn to Abergynolwyn and Nant Gwernol, the line passes the delightful Dolgoch Falls and there are excellent forest walks at Nant Gwernol.

60th Anniversary Gala (14th - 15th May) - 2011 is 60 years since the Talyllyn Railway Preservation Society operated the first train over the railway they saved from closure. This was the world's first preserved train. The weekend will include extra and special trains, evening trains, a cavalcade of locomotives, ale & food, and more. Locomotive No.2 Dolgoch will be re-launched into service after a major overhaul. This work has been the subject of an Appeal in Steam Railway Magazine.
Victorian Train (selective dates in June, July, September) - The train will depart from Tywyn Wharf Station at 11am. It will make photographic stops, allowing time for visiting a local hostelry for lunch or for forest walks or more photography as well as a visit to a blockpost (signal box) and a guided tour of the museum. The return to Tywyn Wharf will be by 3.12pm.
Fathers Day Lunches and Teas (19th June) - Take a round trip on the train from Tywyn Wharf and enjoy a special 2-course Sunday lunch at King's licensed Cafe. Alternatively, take the 1.50pm train from Tywyn Wharf and break for light afternoon tea at Abergynolwyn on your return journey. One lucky father will win the chance to travel on the locomotive for part of the trip!
Jubilee Tom Rolt Steam & Vehicle Rally (23rd - 24th July) - Tom Rolt, one of the pionerring members of the Talyllyn Railway Preservation Society. In his honour, celebrate his love for steam and classic vehicle with the Tom Rolt Rally. Tom was a well known author, engineer, and classic car enthusiast. Full details are to be confirmed but planned attractions include: a large display of steam and vintage vehicles, vintage coach trips, frequent train service and an evening BBQ.
