• Starting on Australia’s west coast gives the possibility of taking advantage of Qantas’ direct flight from Heathrow to Perth, although you may prefer to break your journey in Singapore or Dubai to ease yourself into the time difference.
• Perth, the capital city of Western Australia, is known for its laid-back atmosphere, beautiful beaches, vibrant arts scene, and unique attractions. Allow at least 3 days here to recover from the flight and see the main sights.
• The Perth Central Business District (CBD) has a Free Transit Zone where you can travel for free on buses, making it easier to explore key areas such as Elizabeth Quay, Northbridge, and Kings Park.
• Fremantle is a historic port city, located just a 30-minute train ride away from Perth, making it a great day trip. Visit on a weekend to enjoy the local markets, offering local food, handmade crafts, and fresh produce.
• The Indian Pacific is one of the most iconic and luxurious train journeys in the world, spanning from Perth on the west coast to Sydney on the east. The train covers a distance of approximately 2,704 miles and is famous for connecting the Indian Ocean to the Pacific Ocean.
• Spend three nights onboard in Gold, Gold Premium or Platinum class and enjoy delicious all-inclusive food and beverages. The spectacular views range from the vast Nullarbor Plain to the pretty city of Adelaide and the majestic Blue Mountains.

• Sydney is famous for its beaches. In addition to Bondi, consider visiting Manly Beach (easily accessed by ferry), Coogee Beach, and Bronte Beach. The Bondi to Coogee coastal walk is a beautiful route that offers stunning ocean views, cliffs, and swimming spots.
• Travel in Spring (September to November) or Autumn (March to May) for milder weather, comfortable for travelling long distances and ideal for exploring.
