A train that never falls short of promising you a royal experience, the Maharajas' Express features carriages with Deluxe Cabins, six Junior Suites, two Suites and one Grand Presidential Suite. Each has large panoramic windows allowing you to savour every bit of magnificent India. Enjoy individual temperature controls, televisions & DVD players, direct dial telephone and internet. In-house movies and live television also keep you entertained during the journey and you will be equipped with complimentary sightseeing kits such as bottle coolers, pith hats and shoe uppers on days out. The Maharajas' Express has two fine dining restaurants that allowing everyone on board to dine together. Relax in one of two bars including an exotic Safari bar and the lounge bar Rajah Club with comfortable club arm-chairs and there is even a high-end boutique featuring exquisite and unique creations. All brought to you by a team of highly motivated hospitality staff ensuring the guest experience is unmatched and every need is not just met, but anticipated.
From October 2019 Maharajas' Express itineraries will be changing, more details will be available later in the year. On the previous journey the route visited the world's greatest monument of love the Taj Mahal, spotted the elusive tiger in Ranthambore National Park and soaked up the spectacular regal heritage of Rajasthan in its magnificent forts, vibrant bazzars and royal cuisine. The journey will leave you with everlasting memories of a unique mix of Culture, History and Folklore.

Day 1 – Board the Train at Delhi onto Agra
After a traditional welcome complete your registration formalities and proceed to board the train. Dinner on board.
Day 2 – Agra
Arrive into the 'City of Mughal Splendour' Agra to visit the exquisite Taj Mahal. Enjoy champagne breakfast over looking the Taj followed by free time for shopping/optional tour to Fatehpur Sikri or Itmachud-daulah. After lunch visit Agra Fort. Savour our in-house culinary delights at lunch & dinner on board.
Day 3 – Ranthambore - Jaipur
Embark on an exciting game drive into the Ranthambore National Park. Enjoy lunch on board as you enter into the Pink City of Jaipur. Visit the Amber Fort followed by an enthralling exhibition elephant polo match with champagne dinner. You may want to shop for fine jewellery & textiles before the exciting match.
Day 4 – Bikaner
Arrive at the desert kingdom of Bikaner. Take an optional excursion to Deshnok (Rat Temple) or Lalgarh Palace Museum or a Camel breeding Farm. In the afternoon visit the unassailable fortress of Junagarh. Participate in a camel-cart procession followed by sundowner cocktails, barbecue and folk performance on the sand dunes.
Day 5 – Jodhpur
Enjoy a relaxed breakfast as you arrive into Jodhpur. Visit a local village as an optional activity or relax on board. Enjoy a walking tour of the Old Clock Tower Market and continue to the majestic Mehrangarh Fort. Later, savour dinner at an exclusive venue.
Day 6 – Udaipur
Admire the splendid landscape and enjoy breakfast on board as you arrive into the City of Lakes, Udaipur. Visit the City Palace and Crystal Gallery. Experience the hospitality over a royal lunch. Proceed for an optional 'Walking Tour' through the Old Market or visit the Vintage Car Collection of the Royal Family amongst other activities.
Day 7 – Balasinor
Visit the Dinosaur Fossil Park (One of the largest in the world) followed by a village visit and rounded off by a lunch meeting with the Royal Family to relish their unique cuisine.
Day 8 – Mumbai
Arrive at Mumbai and bid farewell to the Maharaja's Express after on board breakfast.
