Day 3 – Sezskely Rock

The walk to Biertan is some two hours each way and here we find an impressive fortified church in typical Saxon style.

Day 6 – Malancrav & Sighişoara

Luggage will go by bus whilst we walk over rolling hills to Malancrav, another typical Saxon village with church and manor house. Short transfer to Sighişoara, a fortified citadel and UNESCO World Heritage Site as well as birthplace of Vlad the Impaler (Count Dracula). We continue by private coach to Crit, yet another beautiful Saxon village where we are assured of a warm welcome and an excellent dinner. We spend 2 nights here.

Day 7 – Viscri

This well preserved village has a UNESCO Heritage church and became famous when the former Prince of Wales, now King Charles, bought a small property in the main street. After the village visit, we have a 4-hour walk through meadows and woodland to Mesendorf. Our guest house will provide a packed lunch today.
