Scotland’s capital hosts a traditional and romantic Christmas Market in the heart of the city - a wonderful festive shopping experience. Browse through the many craft stalls, art goods, gift shops and enjoy some gastronomic surprises. Guaranteed to get you in the Christmas spirit!

Day 1 – Travel to Edinburgh

Drive or depart by train from your local station to Edinburgh Waverley. A short walk from the station will bring you to your hotel in the historic Old Town area of Edinburgh. Tickets can be arranged from your home station and will be quoted separately.

Day 2 – Christmas Market

Edinburgh’s Christmas market offers no shortage of things to see and do this winter as the city glistens with festive lights. Once you have enjoyed visiting the extensive market stalls, enjoy panoramic views of the illuminated capital from the top of the Big Wheel, take a spin on the charming carousel in East Princes Street Gardens or brave a twirl on the 60-metre-high Star Flyer.

Younger children will love Santa Land in Princes Street Gardens, a festive fairground with six fun rides and a children's market full of gifts and toys. Try to find the Elves' Workshop hidden in the Christmas Tree Maze, or visit Santa's Grotto to meet the man himself!

St Andrew Square will be hosting an oval ice rink, looping around the Melville Monument - hire a pair of skates and spin across the ice behind a gorgeous backdrop of the glittering city.

Day 3 – Edinburgh Royal Attractions Tour

Opportunity to see all Edinburgh’s attractions from the comfort of a hop-on-hop-off sightseeing bus and get free entry to three royal attractions within 48 hours. Why not visit Edinburgh Castle, climb aboard the Royal Yacht Britannia, and tour Holyrood House?

Day 4 – Homeward Bound

Homeward travel by car or from Edinburgh Waverley to your local station. (Train tickets can be quoted separately)
